Taking our normal Sunday morning stroll on the Paseo de Marbella yesterday, we stopped and had a beer in the port (Puerto Deportivo Marbella) at the Marina Bar. We then decided to have lunch before heading up to Ojen. Not fancying a full blown meal or even a Paella, all I had in my mind was a burger. Having tried many burgers in Marbella and normally disappointed, in desperation  we decided to give Peggy Sue’s a try. This diner opened in June 2012. Our first impression was how immaculately clean everything was. Typical 50′s american styling and music. This Diner is part of a Spanish owned company with Diners all over Spain. We chose the Black Angus Beef burgers, made by hand, from the meat of cattle bred in Galicia. We could see the preparation through the very transparent kitchen facility. Weighing at 200gms of beef (not over seasoned for once) in a sesame seeded bun, with lettuce and tomato and large portion of fries, a choice of ketchups, mustard and barbeque sauces on the table as standard, but with around ten different toppings available for a small additional charge. We demolished these superb quality burgers and left full and happy for once.

Give this place a try. It is located on the first road lying back from the Paseo directly in front of the port entrance. We hope you enjoy the experience as much as we did.
