OJEN BAR GUIDE
There are many bars / cafes in the village of Ojen; 3 of the bars are on Calle Carettera (the main road through the village):
BAR SOLIS has a very nice terrace, is the best value and serves tapas of very high quality.
LOS LEONES has a cosy feel and serves snacks. There is a pool table and football machine in the back room to amuse the young, and the young at heart.
CASA ANTONIA is the largest bar in Ojen. Open early in the morning for coffee and late into the night as a favourite night bar with good music and pool.
Ojen Bars
The remaining bars are spread more or less around the PLAZA (main square):
BLAS FACTORY has a nice terrace where pizzas and other snacks can be enjoyed along with a nice cool drink.
BAR DIEGO is at the side of the church and has a nice terrace and friendly atmosphere, serving nice tapas at good prices.
EL CHILENO is in front of the church, again with a nice terrace, extremely friendly, and a perfect place to sit on warm evenings. Sometimes this bar is the venue for live entertainment by the owner and friends.
EL PORTERO is situated next to the fountain, making a nice cool terrace to sit on the hot summer nights. Very nice food served by the friendly host, at reasonable prices.
El CALDERO is situated at the entrance to the square, serves meals and tapas inside and on its terrace, and at weekends there is a disco bar open till late at the back of the restaurant.
PUB SANTOS is the newest bar in Ojen; open early evening into the late night. Plush and comfortable, good music and a firm favourite with the party lovers.
LA BODEGA is a very nice traditional Spanish tapas bar serving fine wines including sweet wines from Malaga.
TERRAZA BAR MARIA is situated just off the main square, with a nice quiet terrace built around a beautiful mature tree, giving nice shade in the hot summer months. Serves good tapas and substantial snacks. Well priced.
BAR LOS LLANOS is to be found on the main road down to the square; a firm favourite with the locals and renound for its high quality fish and seafood cuisine.
