Property in Ojen (Marbella, Malaga, Spain)

In early January 2012 K&N reported on this blog, that October 2011 had been our all time record number of enquiries and we tried to analyse why, and came up with a few probable conclusions. Today I found this chart, published in the Sur in English which was sourced from the Instituto Nacional de Estadistica (INE) and interestingly confirms that property sales in the Province of Malaga are bucking the trends and are now increasing at a positive rate with an increase of 55% in November compared to October. We hope this positive trend continues and clients are taking advantage of the large quantity of bargain properties available now.

The Marina Bar Fuengirola (Fuengirola Port, Malaga, Spain)

As followers of this blog are aware I try to review our local restaurants and publish the experience in a personal and unbiased manner. Yesterday I went slightly further afield to Fuengiriola Port on a recommendation from a friend of my wifes, to take a Sunday roast at the Marina Bar. The bar is easy to find and is situated 2nd line mid port and can be seen clearly from the promenade. We studied the menu and all opted for the roast beef Sunday lunch at 7 Euros per person. When the meals arrived they looked just like what Mum would make! All the veggies were fresh, the mash was smooth and creamy, the Yorkshire pudding to perfection and the roast beef to die for, so tender the knife was really redundant. With a large glass of wine at 2 Euros and draught San Miguel at 1.50 Euros, good service and a nice terrace this bar is well worth a visit. We also saw other clients ordering filled jacket potatoes starting at 5 Euros and probably the biggest I had ever seen, with the fillings overflowing onto the plates, with people struggling to finish these huge offerings. Enough said, GIVE IT A TRY!

K&N Property Ojen, (Marbella, Malaga, Spain)

K&N would like to wish all our clients, past present and future, a Happy New Year and we hope you enjoyed the celebrations as much as we did. K&N have noticed a marked increase in enquiries, October 2011, in fact being our best ever recorded by our site statistics. This may have been due to the change of the Spanish government who quickly pledged to reform the old Spanish employment laws, which had been holding back international business investors, big and small, thus making Spain a much more viable and secure business prospect. They also have made inroads to settle the uncertainty hanging over owners that had been duped into building or buying illegal properties and were facing demolition orders and the probability of an amnesty is real good news for the poor victims. The other factor for the private buyer is of course the Pound to Euro exchange rate. Today quoted at 1.2096 Euros to the Pound by HIFX. makes a purchase more attractive, especially as there are some great bargains to be had now. Lets hope all these trends continue, as well as the fantastic weather we have been experiencing from the later half of last year.

We will endeavour to keep you posted on all the news and activities that are scheduled for the year ahead.

Kind Regards

K&N
