The Marina Bar Fuengirola (Fuengirola Port, Malaga, Spain)

As followers of this blog are aware I try to review our local restaurants and publish the experience in a personal and unbiased manner. Yesterday I went slightly further afield to Fuengiriola Port on a recommendation from a friend of my wifes, to take a Sunday roast at the Marina Bar. The bar is easy to find and is situated 2nd line mid port and can be seen clearly from the promenade. We studied the menu and all opted for the roast beef Sunday lunch at 7 Euros per person. When the meals arrived they looked just like what Mum would make! All the veggies were fresh, the mash was smooth and creamy, the Yorkshire pudding to perfection and the roast beef to die for, so tender the knife was really redundant. With a large glass of wine at 2 Euros and draught San Miguel at 1.50 Euros, good service and a nice terrace this bar is well worth a visit. We also saw other clients ordering filled jacket potatoes starting at 5 Euros and probably the biggest I had ever seen, with the fillings overflowing onto the plates, with people struggling to finish these huge offerings. Enough said, GIVE IT A TRY!

Its that time of the year again, The Ojen Feria, starting 21.00 hrs on Saturday the 8th of October and finishing on Wednesday the 12th October, in fact 2.00am Thursday morning with the traditional igniting of the fire crackers. Music and dancing into the early hours, fun fair, tapa and snack stalls, good priced beverages. If you are driving, come early as parking spaces soon fill and dont forget the alcohol limit as the boys in green are no longer sympathetic when you tell them you are on your way home from the Feria. Come and enjoy yourself and I am sure a good time will be had by all. As you can see the preparation has begun.

Boat for sale in Marbella (Malaga, Spain)

K&N are regretably selling their boat, currently moored in the Puerto Deportivo Marbella as other commitments dont allow adequate use. The boat is a Ducauto Festival 5m x 2.1m powered by a Yamaha Enduro 60hp outboard engine which has run for approximately 20 hours after undergoing a total revision costing just under 2,000 Euros and a new propeller fitted for more efficient running. There is a Mercury 3.5 hp auxiiiary outboard fitted. The upholstery is in good condition, and the internal cushions are newly re-upholsterd. This is an ideal day, fun or fishing boat. Slots nicely in a 6m mooring, and the mooring it currently sits in, could probably be rented at a very good rate from the owner. The mooring has water and electricity very close. 3,950 Euros for a very quick sale, or possibly exchange for a motorcycle or car of similar value.
