K&N have noticed a marked increase in enquiries, October 2011, in fact being our best ever recorded by our site statistics. This may have been due to the change of the Spanish government who quickly pledged to reform the old Spanish employment laws, which had been holding back international business investors, big and small, thus making Spain a much more viable and secure business prospect. They also have made inroads to settle the uncertainty hanging over owners that had been duped into building or buying illegal properties and were facing demolition orders and the probability of an amnesty is real good news for the poor victims. The other factor for the private buyer is of course the Pound to Euro exchange rate. Today quoted at 1.2096 Euros to the Pound by HIFX. makes a purchase more attractive, especially as there are some great bargains to be had now. Lets hope all these trends continue, as well as the fantastic weather we have been experiencing from the later half of last year.

Its that time of the year again, The Ojen Feria, starting 21.00 hrs on Saturday the 8th of October and finishing on Wednesday the 12th October, in fact 2.00am Thursday morning with the traditional igniting of the fire crackers. Music and dancing into the early hours, fun fair, tapa and snack stalls, good priced beverages. If you are driving, come early as parking spaces soon fill and dont forget the alcohol limit as the boys in green are no longer sympathetic when you tell them you are on your way home from the Feria. Come and enjoy yourself and I am sure a good time will be had by all. As you can see the preparation has begun.

Not to be missed. This event has taken place in Ojen for the past 2 years, and is an amazing spectacle of cycling skill. Saturday 16th July is the day, with events starting in the village square at 18.00, then at 22.00 is the first downhill event. and 00.00 the final downhill event. As you can imagine this is spectacular at night, racing down dimly lit streets, these boys and girls dont take prisoners! Come early and enjoy a cool drink and a tapa at one of Ojens terrace bars.

K&N firstly would like to wish all our clients (old and new) a Happy New Year and a prosperous 2011.
We would also like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who follows our blog, and gains from the varied information we publish, property based as well as general listings of activities, venues and news, relevant to the beautiful area in which we live.
The great news in Ojen at the moment, is despite the recession, there are a few new businesses opened with apparent success much to the delight of the residents.
The other news is that now smoking is now banned in all public places, including bars and restaurants. Due to our great climate, this will make very little impact as we live in a fantastic outdoor culture, spending our evenings on the terraces of our many friendly bars.
The Pound seems to have settled at around the 1.2 Euros to the Pound, and our increased level of enquiries seem to confirm new confidence in buying abroad.
K&N still have some very good bargain properties available, and of course we will further negotiate on our clients behalf.
