K&N firstly would like to wish all our clients (old and new) a Happy New Year and a prosperous 2011.
We would also like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who follows our blog, and gains from the varied information we publish, property based as well as general listings of activities, venues and news, relevant to the beautiful area in which we live.
The great news in Ojen at the moment, is despite the recession, there are a few new businesses opened with apparent success much to the delight of the residents.
The other news is that now smoking is now banned in all public places, including bars and restaurants. Due to our great climate, this will make very little impact as we live in a fantastic outdoor culture, spending our evenings on the terraces of our many friendly bars.
The Pound seems to have settled at around the 1.2 Euros to the Pound, and our increased level of enquiries seem to confirm new confidence in buying abroad.
K&N still have some very good bargain properties available, and of course we will further negotiate on our clients behalf.

The Smallville chill-out café is very spacious, its decoration is cosy and contemporary. The comfortable armchairs and sofas as well as the two VIP areas offer a sitting-room atmosphere, where clients can chat and relax, watch television (Canal + Football & Gol Televisión), work on their laptops (Free Wifi) or play chess
while enjoying our delicious tapas and sandwiches…
At Smallville café, we also have two pool tables, a darts machine, two baby-foots and a game-machine for the little ones. The Smallville chill-out café is indeed a welcoming place for all ages. We organise birthday parties and many other celebrations. Tell us what you want and ask for a quote. We also do themed parties, our Night of Terror party last Halloween was a great success, and our winter program includes an Eighties party, flamenco nights, jazz and rock parties, and many more. K&N are regretably selling their boat, currently moored in the Puerto Deportivo Marbella as other commitments dont allow adequate use. The boat is a Ducauto Festival 5m x 2.1m powered by a Yamaha Enduro 60hp outboard engine which has run for approximately 20 hours after undergoing a total revision costing just under 2,000 Euros and a new propeller fitted for more efficient running. There is a Mercury 3.5 hp auxiiiary outboard fitted. The upholstery is in good condition, and the internal cushions are newly re-upholsterd. This is an ideal day, fun or fishing boat. Slots nicely in a 6m mooring, and the mooring it currently sits in, could probably be rented at a very good rate from the owner. The mooring has water and electricity very close. 3,950 Euros for a very quick sale, or possibly exchange for a motorcycle or car of similar value. I am pleased to note that the Bud Spencer Band is appearing again this year, as they were certainly K&Ns favourites along with many people from Ojen and visitors to the festival.
