The great news in Ojen at the moment, is despite the recession, there are a few new businesses opened with apparent success much to the delight of the residents.

The other news is that now smoking is now banned in all public places, including bars and  restaurants. Due to our great climate, this will make very little impact as we live in a fantastic outdoor culture, spending our evenings on the terraces of our many friendly bars.

The Pound seems to have settled at around the 1.2 Euros to the Pound, and our increased level of enquiries seem to confirm new confidence in buying abroad.

K&N still have some very good bargain properties available, and of course we will further negotiate on our clients behalf.

Ojen report (Marbella, Malaga, Spain)

Nobody could really access how the recession was going to hit a small community like Ojen and what changes it may have on this idyllic white Andulucian village. The good news is that not much changed. We have not had a glut of repossessed properties due to the fact that most properties here are Spanish owned and by nature the Spanish are not credit hungry, so most properties were purchased within the buyers means. The council has continued to invest in the infrastructure, creating new roads and repairing others and generally keeping Ojen looking good. Private investment has continued, with the luxury Champneys Spa Resort rising from the ground at an incredible rate, a couple of new bars opening along with a restaurant and a much needed small supermarket. We have noticed a large increase in enquiries both for properties and land, both from our website www.kandnpropertybuying.com, and general office walk-ins. With Easter this weekend, we are expecting to be busy, along with all the bars and restaurants, as the famous processions bring many visitors to Ojen. Weather in Ojen (Marbella, Malaga, Spain)

The weather this year has remained warmer than previous years, and now we are into September the temperatures are still in the low 30 deg. C. The nights are lowering to around 22 deg. C. and still not a jacket or jumper in sight! This is a delightful time of year. There is around a 20% chance of rain next Sunday, and if this happens it will be short lived but will freshen the air beautifully. K&N are looking forward to meeting our clients who are scheduled to visit us to view properties in September, and we will try and make their time spent with us enjoyable and constructive.

Weather in Ojen (Marbella, Malaga, Spain)

K&N are pleased to announce the weather for the next 5 days in Ojen is perfect. The days will be around 30 deg. C. and the evenings and nights dropping to around 22 deg. C. The village square is still bustling in the evenings, and often at the weekends is live entertainment free of charge. Now, both for us and our clients, is a perfect time to view properties, and the recent increase in viewings confirms this. This month has been our busiest August for many years. This has been helped by the terrible UK summer, the better exchange rate from Pounds to Euros, and finally the fantastic bargain prices of some of our properties.
